Welcome

Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery, P.A., (MOSPA) is a practice comprised of oral surgeons who serve as the full-time faculty of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery within the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Our charter as a group includes providing advanced maxillofacial and oral surgery education to the School of Dentistry’s oral and maxillofacial surgery dental students and residents, and innovative research in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

The practice is very pleased to welcome Mark E. Engelstad, D.D.S., M.D., to the group. He joins us in mid-August and begins seeing patients at that time. Please see more information about Dr. Engelstad on his biography page.

The oral surgeons of our group care for patients from within the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Medical Center, as well as those who are referred to us by our dental and medical colleagues in the region. We welcome both members of the University and referred patients to our clinic.

Our location within the University of Minnesota provides access to other specialty clinics within the School of Dentistry, the University of Minnesota Physicians, Boynton Health Clinic, and the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview. This access allows for the high level of coordination of care that is necessary for complex cases.
